- Dental Health 2020

Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It gives us immense pleasure to welcome all delegates, participants, sponsors, and exhibitors to the 3rdInternational Conference on Dental Health and Oral Hygiene to be held from July 13-14, 2020 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

With the theme “Unveiling the latest Advancement, Innovations & Research on Dental Health and OralHygiene”, we are more inspired to expand our reach further beyond the borders of this region by bringing together dental researchers, clinical practitioners, partners in the industry and colleagues from the academe to discuss the latest research breakthrough and advances in technology.

Dentistry is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity, commonly in the dentition but also the oral mucosa, and of adjacent and related structures and tissues, particularly in the maxillofacial(jaw and facial) area.

Although primarily associated with teeth among the general public, the field of dentistry or dental medicine is not limited to teeth but includes other aspects of the craniofacial complex including the temper mandibular and other supporting structures.

DentalHealth Conference provides all participants an opportunity to exchange knowledge, share ideas and collaborate on new researches to strengthen and develop the advancements we’ve achieved thus far, thereby, improving oral health in the region and throughout the world.

It is through research that oral health has been given its much-deserved attention and is now considered an important aspect of the overall well-being of an individual.

The organizing committee together with the international advisory committee has prepared the exciting scientific program for everyone to take part in.

On behalf of the organizing committee of the Dental Health, we would like to invite everyone to participate in this important international event of the dental industry.

See you in Amsterdam!

Session on Dental Stem Cells

Dental tissue engineering is a new promising therapeutic approach that aims to replace the missing tooth with a bioengineered tooth or to restore the damaged dental tissue. The main principle is the use of dental stem cells, seeded on the surface of biomaterials that provide the proper stimuli to create a bio complex. Besides in other fields of medicine, mesenchyme stem cells play an important role in the field of dentistry as it could help in the regeneration of vital structures like bone, cementum, periodontal ligament fibers, and dental pulp. The first part of the stem cell transplant process is called conditioning. During this time, you'll receive chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy to damage and possibly destroy your bone marrow. The stem cell transplant itself replaces the damaged bone marrow with healthy stem cells.

Session on Orofacial Myology

It is additionally called as Myofunctional treatment. The investigation of treatment for oral and facial muscles identifies with biting, discourse, gulping. Orofacial myology treatment is utilized to supplant the propensity for mouth breathing with nasal relaxing. Orofacial myology is a specialized professional discipline that evaluates and treats a variety of oral and facial (orofacial) muscles, (myo-) postural and functional disorders and oral habits that may disrupt normal dental development and also create cosmetic problems. The principles involved with the evaluation and treatment of orofacial Myofunctional disorders are based upon dental science tenets; however, orofacial Myofunctional therapy is not dental treatment. Myofunctional therapy can be basically described as correcting an oro-facial muscular unbalance, including the correction of the position of the tongue at rest and during swallowing. Specific treatments involve establishing and stabilizing the normal rest position of the tongue and lips, eliminating deviate (abnormal) oral habits and correcting swallowing patterns when tongue thrusting is involved. Improvements in appearance are observed during and following therapy.

Session on Oral and Dental Health

Oral health covers every aspect of our lives but is often taken for granted. It is said that “Our mouth is a window into the health of our body” because it can show signs of nutritional deficiencies or general infection. Mouth lesions or other oral problems are visible due to the diseases of the body. Oral health is much more than having a healthy tooth.

Oral hygiene means cleaning of one's mouth to keep it free from disease and other problems mainly by regular brushing and cleaning between the teeth. It is important that oral hygiene is carried out on a regular basis to enable the prevention of dental disease. Regular brushing consists of brushing twice a day: after breakfast and before going to bed. Cleaning between the teeth is called interdental cleaning and is as important as tooth brushing.

Modern dental implants deal with the biologic process called Osseo integration. In this process, materials like titanium are used to bond to the bone. The implant fixture is first placed so that it is likely to Osseo integrate, and then a dental prosthetic is added.

However, the plaque is the major cause of gingivitis and not the hormone.

Session on Fluoride and Dental Health

Fluoride plays an important role in maintaining dental health by strengthening the tooth enamel, making it more resistant to tooth decay. It is a natural mineral that can be found in many foods and in all drinking water. It reduces the amount of an acid that the bacteria on the teeth produce. Due to the lack of fluoride, plaque can be formed which is a thin, sticky film of bacteria that constantly forms on teeth.

Industry Insights:

Favorable government initiatives pertaining to dental hygiene is another factor propelling the growth of the market. Recent years, governments of many countries are initiating reforms for the development of the dental health of their country. For instance, in the Australian 2016-17 Budget was framed to deliver a  reform through a Single National Child and Adult Public Dental Scheme and allocated nearly USD 1.29 billion (AUD 1.7 billion) towards public services for dental care. Furthermore, according to Germany’s healthcare policies, 87.5% of its total population is a member of “sick funds”- a not-for-profit organization. It provides free basic dental services accompanied by several advanced options such as orthodontics, and crowns and bridges.
